The Collegiate EmPowerment Story

Higher Education has its roots in the United States since the founding of Harvard College 1636. Although it has existed for over 370 years, Higher Education remains one of the growth sectors in the US economy. Currently there are over 4,000 institutions of Higher Education Enrolling Over 16.5 Million Students. The Education Commission of the States projects Higher Education enrollment could exceed 27.6 million by 2015. Yet One Disturbing Fact Remains:
Of the over 1.6 million new students who enroll in college each year, only 35% of college freshmen graduate within four years and only 56% graduate within 6 years.
This is not only abysmal. This is unacceptable.
Something needs to be done.
Collegiate EmPowerment is here to help.

Since 1995 Collegiate EmPowerment has been on the front lines assisting universities in combating this pervasive challenge. As a pioneer in EmPowerment Education, Collegiate EmPowerment is the nation’s leader of high impact student seminars, professional development programs, and empowerment resources, exclusively designed to serve the community of Higher Education.

"Most College Students Get A Degree,
But Not An Education."

"Sadly enough most college students today go to college and get a degree, but not an education," says Collegiate EmPowerment Founder, Anthony J. D’Angelo. "We help college students get an education by showing them what college forgets to teach them. Our mission is to empower students, educators and University Executives with our Collegiate EmPowerment Concepts, Strategies & Tools, so they can in turn increase student enrollment, retention and matriculation."

When asked "What is model behind Collegiate EmPowerment?" D’Angelo states, "We are creating a new kind of "school" for a new kind of world. After all, the world as we know it is less then 15 years old. For in 1989 the Berlin Wall came down and in 1995 the World Wide Web went up. It is a completely new world for us all. With this new world, come new challenges. With these new challenges, come new ways of educating people for the future and it is our every intention to be at the fore front of this educational revolution. The 20th Century was about Content, but the 21st Century is about Context. The majority of educational institutions in the United States are still focused on the Content— the curriculum. Collegiate EmPowerment is here to help institutions & individuals expand their Context by Helping Them Take Higher Education Deeper."
