What Every College Student Needs To Know®
About Hazing Prevention

“Despite the training, a young person almost died.”

Perhaps you’ve heard a similar story. That’s why it can't just be a training; it has to be so much more.

We must inspire our communities to believe and behave differently.

Hazed and Confused is a smart, engaging reality check that helps students recognize hazing culture, challenge toxic traditions, and build organizations people are actually proud to join.

Synonyms for hazing include rites of passage, initiation, gauntlet, ordeal, baptism of fire, beat up, test of courage, trial by fire, and rude introduction. That is not how we want to introduce people to our campus, organizations, or ourselves. It’s like saying, “We can’t wait for you to join our club. But first, you have to do these three embarrassing and possibly dangerous things.” That is confusing.

Hazed people haze people.
Confused people confuse people.

Rites of passage are ceremonies or rituals that mark a significant transition in a person's life, often moving them from one social status to another. When people lack a sense of self, a sense of purpose, and the depth of meaning for who they are and what’s important to them, hazing occurs.

Rather than delivering a lecture or compliance checklist, this show infuses our signature high-energy and discussion-based style to ignite self-reflection and peer accountability through real talk and experiential activities. Students will explore the difference between healthy challenge and harmful coercion, while discovering how to stand up—not just for others, but for themselves.

Hazed and Confused is an interactive experience that empowers your students to build a culture of care, courage, and character—while tackling the dangerous and outdated rituals of hazing head-on.

This isn’t just a hazing prevention program. It’s a character development experience rooted in personal empowerment, values-based leadership, and cultural transformation—custom-designed to align with your mission of preparing students for purposeful lives and ethical service.
