JACOBIE THORNTON

PERFORMER

LONG STORY SHORT

A man on a mission. That is who Jacobie is. He aspires to uplift his people and community with the power of the arts. Specifically, the art form of theatre and educational performance. He always looks forward to entertaining, as well as enlightening others with the stories of the world.

THE REST OF THE STORY

Jacobie Thornton (He/Him) graduated from Bowie State University in Bowie, Maryland. Born and raised in Cedar Hill, TX, right outside of Dallas, he began pursuing his dreams as a performer in middle school. Jacobie is always looking forward to the message that the stories of the world have to offer. A few of his credits include The Wiz (Cedar Hill High School), Blood at the Root (Millikin University), Hurt Village (Soul Rep Theatre), Ride the Cyclone (Bowie State University), and recently Cracking Zeus (Spooky Action Theater). He has been a storyteller for most of his life, telling stories through acting, singing, and dancing. Jacobie aims to apply a unique type of energy and his personal touch to all his work. The audience deserves a chance to leave the outside world behind and journey through the world of theatre.

He is constantly finding ways to hone his craft, and he isn’t close to being done.

OUTSIDE OF CE

Jacobie has an athletic history in lacrosse and football, which still shows when he is physically active in his free time. He loves to travel and see what the world has to offer. And you’d never guess one of his favorite hobbies: roller skating! With more than 4 years of experience, he loves to show off his jam skate moves.
