LONG STORY SHORT

When I was a teenager, I never wanted to go to college. I was going to be a rock star! Then, my band broke up and I decided to go to college...and I loved it! I loved it so much that I never wanted to leave. So, I didn’t. I got my BA in Theatre....then my MA in Communication Studies...then my MFA in Acting....then got hired to teach by one school and then another and then five others! Enter Collegiate Empowerment, where I get to never leave college, as I travel from campus to campus being a rock star for every audience I meet.

THE REST OF THE STORY

I’m a NYC-based professional actor, improv comedian, and adjunct instructor. I’ve appeared in theatres all over the country performing in everything from Shakespeare to Neil Simon to Shrek: The Musical. You may have even seen me dancing in my underwear on One Tree Hill or co-starring in commercials with NASCAR driver Jeff Gordon or the Roaming Gnome. Improv comedy is my passion and I can be seen making audiences, my scene partners, and myself laugh regularly at some of the best and worst improv shows in New York City.

As an educator, I have taught Acting, Improvisation, Public Speaking, Communication Studies at too many colleges to mention. I also teach and coach acting, improv, and applied improv for theatres, private groups, and individuals, and in the corporate space.

When I saw the casting notice for CE in 2017, I thought that this job was made for me. It seemed to be the perfect intersection of all the performing, educating, communicating, and training work that I have been mastering my whole professional life. From the moment I ran on to the stage to perform Maximize Your Buzz for the first time, I was hooked on the work that we do and have delved deeper and deeper into CE as a performer, facilitator, consultant, and coach. I’m known at CE for connecting with participants from the toughest mandatory audiences to passionate student leaders to coaching participants through my comedy, passion, high energy, and enthusiasm. Within CE, I’m known for focusing on what students want and need, being a kickass teammate and making weird faces during team meetings.

OUTSIDE OF CE

I currently live in Hillsborough, NJ (but my dream is to move back to Tampa, FL, if you know anyone selling their place) where I play my biggest and most important role as the world’s best tag-team partner for my amazing wife, Emily, my hilarious daughter, Zoe, and our energetic Siberian Husky, Sonya (if you listen close, you can hear her howling her approval).
