LONG STORY SHORT

During my freshman year of college, I had a discussion with my mom on the phone about a major crisis that I was facing. By “major,” I meant that I was not certain if I had chosen the right major. However, after graduating, I have been fortunate to have had the opportunity to work in various spaces ranging from technology to entertainment to non-profit work. My work with Collegiate Empowerment has opened up a whole new field of work for me, getting to speak at campuses from coast to coast.

THE REST OF THE STORY

Born and raised in the Midwest, I have to say that I’m part of the midBEST region in the country! I graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and one notable semester is the one I got to spend on exchange in Hong Kong. During this time I had the opportunity to visit several countries in Asia, and always happy to start a conversation with anyone who has a trip planned abroad! (I came back and worked at the Illinois study abroad office, so yes, I am the person who goes abroad and then comes back and doesn’t stop talking about it.)

In Chicago, you can find me performing improv and acting in different projects around the city. I currently work full-time as an event coordinator, and enjoy doing volunteer work with TedxChicago, Young Jains of America, and the Chicago South Asian Film Festival.

REAL GPA

My Real GPA lies in creativity and relationship building. I love coming up with new ideas and innovative ways to try things, as well as foster environments and communities where everyone feels included. I hope to give a TEDx talk one day, and CE has helped me grow immensely as a speaker.

OUTSIDE OF CE

I enjoy walking around Chicago and trying new classes on ClassPass.
